Buri Manor
Buri Manor SE view ('99).jpg
Buri Manor was Aeon's first affordable housing development, built in direct response to the 350 affordable units destroyed in the building of the Minneapolis Convention Center.

With funding from the Family Housing Fund, Aeon worked with Elliot Park Neighborhood, Inc. (a neighborhood citizen participation organization) and Brighton Development Corporation to remove a detrimental neighborhood bar and replace it with 38 efficiency apartment homes for low-income residents.

Buri Manor, named in honor of community activist Isabelle Buri, includes a community garden, and was honored with the Design Award from the Minneapolis Committee on Urban Environment (CUE) in 1987.
